Duncan Cotterill announces four new partners

Duncan Cotterill has announced four internal promotions to its expanding partnership in a press release today.

Duncan Cotterill has expanded significantly in recent years from its Christchurch base, with offices in Wellington, Auckland and Nelson.

Sarah Watson, Sarah Townsend and Andrew Oh are in the Christchurch office with Aaron Sherriff in Wellington.

Sarah Watson cropped 2016Sarah Watson has extensive experience as a resource management lawyer working on matters of local and national significance. She has specialist skills in both the urban and rural sectors, working with clients who want to develop the environment in a sustainable way to achieve their commercial objectives. Sarah’s clients span a range of industry sectors including agribusiness, property and infrastructure.

 

Sarah Townsend (pictured above) is a specialist employment lawyer, who is also highly regarded for her health and safety work. She is a trusted advisor to many high profile national organisations covering a number of sectors, including construction, insurance, education, and agri/rural. Sarah is active within the Canterbury Branch of HRINZ (Human Resources Institute) and co-ordinates the Employment Relations Special Interest Group.

Andrew Oh has an established commercial and property practice, backed by many years of practical expertise in these areas. Through his international connections, Andrew advises a range of clients on a local and international basis. Andrew is a trustee of the University of Canterbury Foundation and his clients include Ceres NZ, Vaico, NZIHF and Aspect Furniture.

Aaron Sherriff focuses on insurance law and commercial litigation. In particular, Aaron specialises in insurance coverage and claims defence work, and works with a number of the leading liability and general insurers operating in New Zealand. Aaron also has comprehensive experience managing complex commercial litigation disputes in the High Court, and in the equivalent Supreme Court of British Columbia when he worked in Vancouver.
