Chapman Tripp is pleased to announce that tax law expert Bevan Miles has joined the firm’s Auckland office as Special Counsel today.
Bevan joins Chapman Tripp from ASB Bank in Auckland, where he was General Manager Taxation. He has over 18 years’ experience advising on a wide range of tax matters, including restructuring, international transactions and transfer pricing, significant mergers and acquisitions, financing and capital raising transactions, and tax disputes involving the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
He has extensive financial services experience and, prior to joining ASB, he practised at other major New Zealand professional services firms.
Bevan is currently a member of the NZ Law Society’s Tax Committee. He is also a member of the New Zealand Bankers’ Association Tax Working Group (having previously chaired the Group).
“We are delighted Bevan is joining our national tax team. Bevan’s extensive experience, both in-house and in private practice, brings additional strength and expertise to our tax practice,” says Graeme Olding, Partner and Head of Tax.
